#1 vs #4 to meet in the Shootout

True to its mission of bringing the best possible Division I lacrosse match-ups to Southern California, the third annual Pacific Coast Shootout will feature the nation's top-ranked Fighting Irish of Nore Dame and fourth-ranked Maryland Terrapins.

Notre Dame, coming off its fourth final four appearance in the last six seasons, is ranked No. 1 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine NCAA Division I Men's Preseason Top 20. When the Irish arrive in Orange County, they bring with them arguably the top three players in the country at their positions in attackman Matt Kavanagh, midfielder Sergio Perkovic and defenseman Matt Landis.

The fourth-ranked Terrapins return to the Shootout after defeating Noth Carolina 10-8 in last year's event and appearing in the 2015 NCAA Division I National Championship game.
